Getting started
How quickly can you place a developer?
We typically present a shortlist of 2–3 candidates within 72 hours of receiving your brief. Once you select a candidate, they can start within 7–10 days.
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
We ask for a 3-month minimum to give the engagement a fair run. After that, you can scale up, scale down, or cancel with 30 days notice.
What information do I need to provide to get started?
Just a brief description of what you need: the role, tech stack, experience level, and working hours. A 20-minute call or a short email is enough to get the process started.
Pricing
How much does it cost?
Pricing depends on the role, seniority level, and engagement type. As a guide, most clients save 60–70% compared to equivalent local hires. Contact us for a tailored quote.
Are there any placement or recruitment fees?
No. OffSetup charges a single transparent monthly rate. There are no placement fees, no agency percentages, and no hidden charges.
What does the monthly rate cover?
Everything on our side: recruitment, HR, payroll, office space, equipment, project management, and all local admin. You pay one number, we handle the rest.
Quality & process
How do you assess developers technically?
Every developer on our bench has completed a technical assessment in their primary stack, a practical coding challenge, and a culture-fit interview with our team. We only shortlist people we would hire ourselves.
What if the developer isn't a good fit?
We'll replace them at no extra cost, typically within 5–7 days. We stand behind our placements — if something isn't working, we fix it.
Who manages the developer day-to-day?
You direct the technical work. Our on-site project managers handle operational oversight, performance, HR matters, and anything below the technical layer.
Logistics
What timezone do your developers work in?
Our engineers are in Islamabad (PKT, UTC+5). Most can flex to provide 4–6 hours of daily overlap with US Eastern or UK time zones.
Can the developer use our tools and systems?
Yes. Your developer works within your existing tools — Slack, Jira, GitHub, Figma, whatever you use. They follow your processes and your working patterns.
Is there a trial period?
We don't offer a formal trial, but you can start with a short initial project to assess fit before committing to a longer engagement. Ask us about this option.
